Most famously, Kim partnered with the English Thoroughbred Winsome Adante, “Dan”, winning the Rolex Rolex Kentucky CCI**** together an unprecedented – and still unmatched – three times over the course of four years. At the 2002 World Equestrian Games in Jerez, Spain, Kim and Dan placed 6th individually and took team gold. At the 2004 Olympics Kim and Dan put in the American contingent's best dressage test, and rode a fault-free cross-country trip winning the individual silver medal and team bronze. That same year, Kim was ranked the first in the world. In 2007 Kim and Dan placed 3rd in the CCI**** at Badminton in England.

In 2005 Kim was selected as United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) Developmental Coach of the Year. The year was topped off when Kim was recognized as USEA Lady Rider of the year for the fourth time, and Dan was awarded his third USEA Horse of the year.

Now that Dan is retired, Kim is competing Tipperary Liadhnan at Advanced, and is bringing some exciting young horses along including Queen Wannabee, a Thoroughbred owned by Jane Dudinsky, Wiley Post, a Thoroughbred owned by Shaws Fork LLC, and on her own horses, the Hanovarian Fantasy Impromptu (Chopin) and Thoroughbred Sonic Solutions (Punchy).
